Adjusting the Stride Length of Your Elliptical
Many of our ellipticals come with the ability to change the length of the user’s stride. This may be done with one of two methods: manually, or by changing the power incline level.
Method 1: Power Adjustment
Many ellipticals now use power adjustment to change the length of the user’s stride. This is done by changing the level of the power ramp, thus adjusting the length of the user’s stride.
To make this adjustment, simply press either the power ramp increase or decrease button on the console.
Method 2: Manual Adjustment
The manual version of the stride adjustment requires turning an adjustment knob. There are three different models of adjustment knobs: rear drive, adjustment knob and arm combos, and dual adjustment knobs.
Rear Drive Adjustment Models
This model requires that the user pull the adjustment knob, then slide the adjustment bracket to other holes in order to shorten or lengthen the stride. To ensure proper rotation, the right and left sides should be adjusted to the same stride length.

Adjustment Arm Models
These models use an adjustment arm in conjunction with an adjustment knob to change the length of the user’s stride. To adjust the stride of the elliptical on this design, turn the adjustment knob clockwise while pulling it outward until the adjustment arm pivots freely.
Then, pivot the adjustment arm until the adjustment knob is aligned with one of the holes in the handlebar leg, and gently release the knob.
Finally, pivot the adjustment arm back and forth slightly to make sure adjustment pin is engaged in one of the holes in the handlebar leg. Adjust the other side of the elliptical in the same way.

Dual Adjustment Knob Models
To adjust the stride of these models, turn the adjustment knobs clockwise or counterclockwise. Make sure that both adjustment knobs are at the same setting.
